The Bad News
Mom and I walk into the doctor's room, gingerly, I sat down, nothing could make me more nervous right now. Doctor Matthews came in and sat down, she said in a gentle voice,
“Hello Marinette, thank you for coming, I have some bad news for you”. I stared at her. “Marinette, I’m so sorry but, we have discovered you have cancer,” she said sadly. I burst out into tears, however, I had a remarkable weight taken off my shoulder.
Five months later, “You should be on stage already Mari, come on,” said Alya.
“Ok, I’m coming,” I said, while picking up the yellow microphone.
