Petrified, I wandered through a damp, gloomy cave swarming with bats. Gingerly, I clambered across the jagged rocks. I shone my flashlight through the pitch blackness searching desperately for Daylight. The air was stale and warm and I could feel a steady trickle of sweat run down my face. The ferocious heat and the slippery rocks hindered my search. Stressed, I continued looking. My heart pounded heavily in my chest and my head ached. I was so worried. Was I ever going to find Daylight? Without warning, the slime dripped through the cracked ceiling and plopped loudly on top of my head. Instantly, I let out a deafening screech. Then, out of the darkness ran Daylight! I was never so happy to see my puppy.
